Welcome to our Tamil Lit poetry newsletter, Where the words of ancient poets will be your treasure. From the land of Tamil, where the sangam poets wrote, We bring you their works, which we hope will float, into your hearts and minds, and inspire you anew, With Tales of love and war, and everyday life too.
Our goal is to bring you the most poetic of Sangam literaure, a body of Tamil literature created between 600 BCE to 300CE approx. The collection contains more than 2000 poems by 473 poets of whom about more than 100 were anonymous.
Our newsletter will feature translations of these poems, As well as articles about the history and culture surrounding them. We hope that our readers will enjoy learning more about this rich and fascinating literary tradition.
